Your Samuel Percifield, b:1774 in VA was the son of Thomas Percival, b:1745, Over Parish, Cheshire, England. Thomas was the brother of the individual you refer to as Samuel Sr. There has been much confusion on this issue brought about by someone posting an unproven line on the web. Samuel (Sr) did have a son Samuel, however, and this has added much to the confusion. Now, with that out of the way, Thomas was the son of Samuel Percival, b:1720, Over Parish, Cheshire and grandson of Jonathan Percival, b:1681, Manchester, Lancashire.
Thomas and his family settled in western Virginia, with his son Samuel (Percifield) moving to Clay County, KY and later to Brown County, IN.
