It was A.B. Stickney in his research of John Parepoint and Mehitable Larkin Holland who thought that John's father was Robert Pierpoint and Mary Thurgood. However we now know that their son John married Elizabeth Dixon in Standon, Hertford, England on 9 Jun 1679 and had three boys (William, John, and Thomas) in Braughing, and later all 3 were married in Hertford. So it is unlikely that this John came to Maryland and married Mahitable Larkin Holland.
There are not any records showing the father of John Parepoint. However, he was living in the correct place and at the correct time to be a son of Henry Pierpoint.
