Eliza Pierpoint is a daughter of Evan Pierpoint and Mary Bickly (prob variant of Beckley or Buckley). They were married 5 Dec 1816 in Frederick Co, VA. Evan Pierpoint is listed in the 1820 census for Shelby Co, KY and the 1840 Census for Jefferson Co, KY. I haven't located a 1830 census listing. Evan and Mary had 2 sons and 3 or 4 daughters. The 2 sons are John, b. abt 1826 and James, b. abt 1832. Other than Eliza, I don't know who the other daughters are.

James is living with John's family in the 1860 census for Louisville, KY. James married Mercy A Brinton (or Brenton) on 11 Apr 1869 in Scott Co, IN. Mercy was the widow of Isaac Brinton and had 2 children from her previous marriage. James's farm is next to Eliza's farm in the 1880 census for Lexington, Scott Co, IN. James died 25 Mar 1888 in Jeffersonville, Clark Co, IN.

John and his large family moved to Meade Co, KY about 1870. After John's death abt 1885, his family moved to Scott Co, IN as a number of his children are listed as marrying there. His widow Caroline married the widower Martin L Hart on 8 Aug 1887 in Scott Co, IN.

It seems likely that Evan is the only son of Joseph Pierpoint as Joseph is the only Pierpoint listed in Frederick Co, VA in the 1810 Census and Joseph's son was of Evan's age. Joseph had 5 daughters, one of whom was Elizabeth Pierpoint m. James Stewart on 7 Jun 1808, Frederick Co, VA.
