I am researching the same question: What was Samuel Pierpont Langley's connection to the Pierrepont family?

In researching EDWARDS PIERREPONT, an outstanding jurist appointed by Pres. U. Grant as Attorney General, Ambassador to England, and chosen to investigate one of the participants in Lincoln's death, I found a SAMUEL PIERREPONT in the family. I am convinced there is a family connection with SAMUEL PIERPONT LANGLEY, but am looking for documentation.

Thanks, Calvin
