My information varies slightly from yours, but that is what makes genealogy so frustrating and fascinating.
My info shows that John P- and Thankful had 11 children. The confusion (10 or 11) may come from the fact that they had 2 children named John. The first was born 7/22/1651 and died young. The second John was born 10/28/1652 and died 12/30/1690. By my records neither had children. One of the other children of John and Thankful was James,1659-1776, who married (his 3rd wife) Mary Hooker,1673-1740. They had a son, James 1699-1776, who married Anne Sherman 1727-1803. James and Anne had a son Robert born 1757 (I don't know his marital status). They also had a son James (1761-1840) who married, 1st, Elizabeth Collins and, 2nd, the widow of the Rev. Mr. Crossman.
I am descended from David Pierpont (1764-1826), a brother of Robert and James. I have not come across Capt. Gustavus Fellows in my searching. He must have been quite a ladies man.
Is this making any sense to you? Tomorrow I will try to send you the URL for the Pierpont genealogy done by Robert Kraft. It is very extensive and will probably give you a lot of info you have been unable to find.
