According to Elizabeth Hagen, Sylvain Pierre was born in New Orleans, a free colored man. She m Sylvain in Springfield LA. Sylvain was b abt 1795. Elizabeth appllied for his pension for the war of 1812 and got it. The papers are at the state archives in Baton Rouge. His sister Mercelite (Margaret) Pierre m Honore Baham. A brother Lano is missing. Ever hear of him? Ed Ard
