From a ships registry has Jean Pierre from France landing in New Orleans in about 1730. My 2great grandfather Slyvain Pierre was born in 1793 approximately, and fought in the war of 1812 in Chalmette LA. His son Sylvester b about 1838, Sylvesters son Lucius Joshua Pierre b 1875 and my mother b 1921. Me 1940.Sylvain got a land grant and moved to Springfield LA. The sons farmed the land in Robert and Independence LA, which is nearby.
Great to hear from you . Edward M. (Pierre)Ard
