It's fun because your personnal history is similar than mine.I'm 50 years old and 5'7" and have two children, two sons, taller than me, about 5'10" than your children.
My ancestors are 100% french but it means 50/50 german and celtic (peoples beleave that the french people are latin but it's not true). Our culture is latin and only peolple leaving in the extreme south east of France are latin (around the city of Nice) but the huge majority have celtic and german origine (don't forgot that the "Franc", "Burgonde" (Burgundy), "Allamands" (Lorraine and Alsace), "Wisigoth" south west of France, Lombards (Alpes) tribes were german ! The name of France is the name of a german tribe !
Our cathedral and castle of Loire are Gothic style !....
A french poet, Jean Cocteau, said "frenchpeople are bad tempered italians". It's rue because we are german and celtic people leaving in a latin culture !
