Hi Joan- Check out the web page below. It has some information about the Pier family that you might find interesting. Probably the most noteable is that Oliver Pier deeds land to his grandson, Samuel in Athens County, Ohio. Vashti and Samuel had a son named Samuel.

Land of origin says England. (With the name Pierre, I thought it would be something a bit more exotic!)
