My husband's father (who we are trying to trace) often used the Piette spelling of his name. His name was Edgar Piette/Payette. His family came from WI and we know next to nothing about them. His father would be Felix Payette/Piette and his mother Clara Greenwood. Is there any possible connection to your J.B. Piette? The year is approximately correct for Edgar to be in his 20's. (Edgar was a lake sailor, a machinist mate is our understanding.) Could this J.B. be a brother or uncle or cousin? Thanks.
