My grandmother was Annie Sophie Pietzsch who married Charles Otto Senkel. I know she had a brother Albert, who moved to San Francisco, Ca, who had a son named Albert. There are quite a few Pietzsch family members buried in the East Bernard, TX protestent cemetary. I believe my grandmother also had a brother name Cornelius, also one named Paul, who still has a few children living in East Bernard. I have some wedding photographs of my grandmother and her husband, Charles Otto Senkel. I think there is an Irvin Senkel living in Garland, TX. I know my great-grandparents Pietzsch came to the USA thru Galveston. I'm not sure of all the Pietzsch family members but my sister may recall more than I do. My sister is Mrs. Alfred (Barbara) Zbranek, P.O. Box 129, East Bernard, TX 77435. Phone - 979-335-4493.
I do know that Albert Pietzsch, who moved to California, changed the spelling of his name to Pietsch - dropping the Z. I would greatly appreciate any information on the Pietzsch families you have. My address is Herschel S. Sands, 102 Springwood Road, Dripping Springs, TX 78620. Phone 512-858-1689. I am usually home until 10 AM and then return around 7 PM in the evening. I am not sure of the dates when the Pietzsch family arrived - but I believe it to be in the 1880's.
