I am looking for information on my daughter- in-law's family. What she knows is this: (Uriah) Israel Pifer was born about 1843 in Ohio. Family lore has it that they started out in Pa. and moved west. Israel married Annie May Patterson in 1864 in Moultrie Co., Illinois. They had the following children: Charles O. Pifer, born abt. 1866, who married Rose Taylor; Findley E. Pifer, born abt. 1868, Susan Pifer, Mary Alice Pifer, Lucretia Pifer, and Guy Alva Pifer, born abt. 1889 and married to Marie Watson. Guy and Marie had at least two sons: Marion and Finley. I think Israel Pifer may have had an uncle named Samuel Pifer who married Sarah Miller.
