Hello Mr. Beinhorn,

I am actively researching the Pifers of Moultrie County. Regarding this family, I have the following:

Willis Lee Pifer, born 29 August 1864, in Sullivan, Moultrie Co., IL, to Samuel Pifer and Sarah Marie Miller.

I have that he married Charlotte Annice Walton, March 25, 1890, in Coles Co., IL. (Date comes from Willis Pifer's obituary).

I have eight children to this family, all born in Moultrie Co., to the best of my knowledge:

-Earl Cleveland Pifer, b. 16 Dec. 1891
-Katheryn Marie Pifer, b. 9 Nov. 1894
-Thomas Leandrue Pifer, b. 1 Aug. 1896
-Paul Peter Pifer, b. 26 Feb. 1898
-Charles D. Pifer, b. 23 Feb. 1900
-Claude F. Pifer, b. 6 Jul. 1903
-George Mack Pifer, b. 23 Jul. 1906
-Grace Elizabeth Pifer, b. 31 May 1908.

One more thing I know about Willis Lee Pifer: some records also show him with the middle name Andrew, as in Willis Lee Andrew Pifer.

As you said, he moved to Elkhart, Indiana, in 1918, so I have lost track of his family for the most part after that. I would be thrilled to hear any more about any of these people.
