No obvious connection here, but I, too, am not making a lot of headway. My ggrandfather, John A. Pifer b. 1853 in Pa (I think Wayne Co)., he m. Catherine Eliz. Buckley. John A's parents were John Pfeiffer, Pfifer, b. ca 1822 in Baden, wife Elizabeth ? also b. in Baden. John and Eliz were on cencus records in Wayne Co at least 40 years. I believe probably he had siblings in other parts of Pa so far no connections.
