John Pifer in Western PA

Greetings,
I'm searching for the family of John Pifer. I have that he was born in Darmstadt, Germany and immigrated to USA. He lived in Pittsburgh then moved to Armstrong Co, PA in 1852. He possibly had two wives: first wife was Anna Martha and was buried in 1850 in East Liberty, PA. Second wife may have been Anna Gruntz. I think they had a daughter or a granddaughter named Catherine S. Pifer born apr 15, 1853/4. Her mother died soon after she was born so she was raised by the Schrum family. Catherine married Henry Ramer (b. aug 18, 1852). Catherine died in nov. 22, 1893 in Shelocta, Indiana Co., PA.

Any info will help!
steve
