Hi Bryan!
My grandmother always told me that Colombe was an Iroquois-but didn't know the specific tribe. I have noticed that there was a Mohawk settlement right next to L'Assomption at the time they were living. Check out the Mousseau GenForum--a descendant of Alphonse Desilets-Mousseau and Delima Lajeunesse has written in!
