W. J. Pigg became W. J. Wilson
I copied this from a 1936 Christian County Republican printed in Ozark, Missouri. Does anyone recognize this W. J. Pigg, a teacher in Christian County, Missouri who became W. J. Wilson of Oakland, Almeda County, California. I'm not finding any good leads to identifying him:
From CCR 19 Mar 1936 p1
W. J. Wilson, former Ozark school teacher, recently made an interesting trip from his home in Oakland, Calif. to Tia Juana and other points in Old Mexico. He wrote U. S. Bilyeu a 15-page typewritten letter in which he vividly described his trip. Mr. Wilson has had his name changed since going to California. He was known here as W. J. Pigg.
[Note: there was no one in 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920 or 1930 Christian County census and no marriage record for anyone whose name was given as W. J. Pigg. Still, if anyone recognizes the name and knows who he is, they might miss him because of the name change]
This is Ulysses S. Bilyeu on 1930 census. The Turners are his step-son and his wife and son

Leo is the only Pigg I see listed as a teacher on that census, and I don't find any W. J. Pigg or any other Pigg teacher on any Christian County censuses. Of course, the census just represents 1 day in 3,653.
