I've been searching for my Great Grandfather Tidwell's family for about 40 years too. The only clue I have is his connection to the Pilchers and that is word of mouth and one picture. And as you say there are so many Pilchers too. I do know about his life after about 1885, so the Pilcher connection would have been way back. Probably in Arkansas or it may have started in Mississippi. My mother does remember one Pilcher visit in Oklahoma. My GGrandpa Tidwell died in 1917. Yes, my
mother is still alive. She is 94.
