We might have a family connection to this man. We were always told that he (mayor of Kentucky) was a grandfather.
Three sisters, Jessica, Lola, and Stella Pilcher, were always told that their grandfather was the mayor of Kentucky. I'm assuming that they came from Jonathan E. line because they had the Pilcher name.
Ruth Eugenia was the natural daughter of the third sister, Stella Pilcher and Russell Young. Stella contracted TB and died in AZ when Ruth was very small. Stella and Russell Young had agreed that Stella's older sister, Lola, and her husband Ray Moon would rear the girl as their own after Stella's death. Lola had a master's in journalism and was a devoted mother. Ruth adored Ray Moon as the only father she ever knew.
Ruth never knew she was adopted by her aunt until after her adopted mother's death. When Lola died, the eldest sister, Jessica, showed up to claim Lola's estate asserting the Ruth was never legally adopted by Lola and Ray Moon. Ruth found the adoption papers, proved her right to the estate and Jessica disappeared again.
Ruth's descendants would like to know what became of Russell Young after the death of his young wife. Ruth Moon eloped with Cornelius Curtis, from Maine and had two daughters in the 1930's.
