I am loooking for information to see if there is a connection to the the PYLES/PILES that were living in Sumner County and the PYLES/PILES that were living in the Dekalb counties of Tennessee.

Sumner county was a county at this time frame and the area that is now Dekalb was Indian lands These two areas were side by side.

I am looking to see if Elijah PILES/PYLES that married a women named Rebecca. His parents were Conrad PYLES/PILES (NC or VA:1766-TN 1849) and Mary (unknown surname)(1769-TN 1843) has a connection to the PYLES/PILES that married to one of the children of John and Catherine "SHERWOOD" SMOTHERS John was born in North Carolina in 1763 and Catherine was born in in North Carolina 1774-1888. John is the of Thomas and Susannah "Gilliam" SMOTHERS.

John had a son named Thomas (1830 bn.Sumner Cty, TN) that married a Sarah Elizabeth PYLES/PILES(1833-1834,bn. Sumner and Wilson Cty TN). Her parents were James Newton Nancy "SMOTHERS" PYLES/PILES, Jr.. He was the son of Newton and Susannah PYLE/PILES Of North or South Carolina.

I am looking for any information whether these two families are connected. Any information would be appreciated. Spelling of names may vary. Thanks in advance.

Jackie
