The History of the name Robert
Posted by: Victoria Witt (ID *****8397) Date: December 08, 2004 at 20:51:39

Since researching the Pilkenton family tree I have learned that the name "Robert" goes back at least to Robert William in 1851, plus it seems to have branched off to the other branches of Pilkenton's. I have given my youngest son the middle name of "Robert" thinking that it was after my father and brother that had past away. I also searching for the history of this name with the Pilkenton family and why it has been handed through the years. Any information on this will be welcomed.
