Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Bill-- How wonderful to hear from you! I am related through the Thoresens and my mother, who spoke of your mother, was especially friendly with her sister Sylvia. I know a great deal about his family but absolutely nothing about hers--and almost nothing about his descendants (other than Sylvia's).
Bessie Pilkey appears suddenly and was completely outside the Norwegian immigrant communities of Bay Ridge and Staten Island. Soren Thoresen was an important person in the lives of my parents and grandparents and I really would like to know something of the lady he married. ~Barbara
