I would also add that Labon was the son of Anthony and Rebecca Pilkinton (or Pilkenton)from North Carolina. He was born 22 Oct 1803 in Wake County, North Carolina. Anthony and Rebecca moved to Pike County, Georgia. Labon was a Baptist minister. He died in Titus County, Texas 14 Nov 1875 and was buried in Sardis Cemetery in Cass County, Texas where his son Robert Merritt Pilkinton lived. This information is posted on the Cass County,Texas USGENWEB site and they credit Labon Pilkenton's obituary published in the August 1953 "Footprints" quarterly (Fort Worth Genealogical Society). Merritt Robert Pilkinton ended up in Cass County, Texas, while children Peter and Martha end up in Titus County. I am not directly related to this line however I am related to Bettie Waddle's line and like her, I have ended up collecting a lot of information on the Pilkinton/Pilkenton/Pilkington lines. My information is at www.pilkinton.name. Jim
