The information I have is on David Gray (D.G.) Pilkinton. Some references say that he was born on Dec. 3, 1873 (his tombstone has 1873 - 1936) but his death certificate lists his birthdate as March 30, 1874 in Arkansas. His parents were William R. Pilkinton and Mary Catherine Ragan. On September 20, 1896 he married Mary M.(Minnie) Barton in Independence Co., AR. They are listed on the 1900 Izard Co., AR Census; on the 1910 Parker Co., TX Census; and on the 1920 Independence Co., AR Census. He died April 28, 1936 in Lamar Co., TX and is buried in Union Grove Cemetery, Lamar Co., TX. There are several other Pilkintons buried in Union Grove Cemetery and it is unclear to me how they are all related, maybe some of these names will be familiar to you. In addition to Dave G. Pilkinton there is James Nathaniel Pilkinton, Cleora R. Jones Pilkinton, Henry B. Pilkinton, James E. Pilkinton, James Monroe Pilkinton, Ruby Lee (Ballard) Pilkinton, and Wilma Bernice Endsley Pilkinton.

D.G. and Minnie had four children:
1) Myrtle May Pilkinton b. August 1899, married Thomas Barnett
2) Willis Alva (Poor Alvie) Pilkinton b. April 9, 1906 in Tolar, TX, d. Feb. 16, 1983 in Paris, TX, married Geneva Valesca Hall Jan. 8, 1935
3) Thema L. Pilkinton who married C.M. McCormick
4) Marie Pilkinton b. Nov. 13, 1911, d. Sept. 18, 1986, Longview, TX, married Jeff William Glenn in 1930 and they had three children: Bettie Sue Glenn, Jeff William Glenn, Jr., and Billy M. Glenn. She married Robert Lee "Hops" Kitchens b. Sept. 6, 1914 in Roxton, d. Oct. 27, 1991 in Lamar Co., TX and is buried in Red River Co. Cemetery, Texas. Robert Lee Kitchens was the son of Frank Kitchens and Ella Smith. Information from his obituary states that Robert Lee Kitchens worked for 31 years for the City of Paris, TX; he was a fireman and later, superintendent of the water department; he retired in 1982; he was also a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the First Baptist Church. It also states that his son was Robert Lee Kitchens, Jr who lived in Danville, IL. The obituary also lists 4 brothers: Charles Kitchens of Paris, TX, Jimmy Kitchens of Dallas, TX, William Kitchens of Hugo, OK and Albert Kitchens of Lomas, CA and two sisters: Mrs. Jack Green of CA and Ann Rose of Paris, TX
I hope this helps,
