My Pilkinton research has been inch by inch back to Parmenus Pilkinton. Our line goes back: Jacob Pearce Pilkinton b.20 Nov 1850 Cleborn Co., AL d. 24 May 1937 Water Valley, Yalobusha Co., MS; whose father was John Sanford Pilkinton b 1829 GA (some censuses show TN) d. in the Civil War; whose father was Parmenus Pilkinton b. 1799 NC. md 1st Mary Ann Bradford ca 1820 she d. ca 1841 Calhoun Co., AL. he md 2nd Sarah Roads/Rhodes 27 March 1842 Calhoun Co., AL. I am happy to see where Parmenus was living in Va. I did not know where in Va to look. From census searching he probably had 7 children by Mary Ann. 2 females & 5 males. Then 3 males by Sarah: G.A. b. 1843; James b. 1846; A. b. 1848 the ch of Sarah all born in Calhoun Co. AL. Jacob Pearce Pilkinton md 5 Oct 1870 in Bosque Co., TX to Mary Jane Bulman. They lived in Hamilton Co., TX for many years. Relatives lived in Coryell Co., TX.
