All my notes on John Pillion:

Settled in the Ingle Chapel area of Rosehill, Lee County, Virginia. A revolutionary war soldier, born 19 July 1763 in Northumberland County, Virginia in the Chesapeake Bay area of the eastern US. The son of John and Eleanor Pillion.

John Pillion enlished 15 Sep 1780 from Westmoreland County, Virginia at age 16 and was released in December 1781. He was five feet one inches tall, had light brown hair, grey eyes, and a brown complexion.

John married Prudence [unknown?], she was born approximately 1800 in Virginia and died 1885 in Lee County, Virginia.

John purchased a 368 acre tract of land from Andrew Baker for $100 on 3 March 1822 (recorded Deed book 8, page 53 in CCCO Jonesville, Lee County, Virginia). John sold the land on 3 April 1838 to Samuel Sagon and Charles Bekner.

John has 7 children:
John Jr Pillion 1821 (married Sarah Carter in 1845)
Thomas Pillion 1830 (married Minta Manning in 1851)
Jane or Jennie Pillion 1831
Rachel Pillion 1834
Susannah Pillion 1835
Mary "Polly" Pillion 1843 (married Conley Scott in 1874)
Nathaniel H. Pillion 1845 (married Mary C. Ely in 1866)
