You may want to search in the Poitou area of France. My 7th great-grandmother was Catherine Pillot b. abt. 1651 who married Pierre Monnet who was supposedly from Poitou,France. I have not done the research on this family to confirm this but I think it would be worth a try to search this area. Best of luck and let me know what you find.
