I am looking for some help with my fathers great-grandfather. I have been looking for quite a while but haven't found anything so far. I am not sure of his first name is the big problem. I have found two references to him, one called him Bob and the other Ganford. The name Bob came for a folklore book on Lawrence County Alabama. My grandmother said the his name was Ganford because a great uncle of mine was named Ganford Junior Borden after him. I found one Gid Pillow in Lawrence County Alabama in 1880 Census, but he doesn't look very likely. Ok, what I do know. The elusive Pillow married Sarah E. Harville (b. 14 Apr 1864 d. 23 Jun 1925) in Lawrence County Alabama and begot 3 children; Arrie Jones Pillow(b. 1889), Minnie Pillow(b. 1890), and Henry C Pillow(b. 1894). Then in June of 1895 Sallie Harville married James McDowell. Arrie Jones Pillow (Borden) was my great-grandmother. If anyone can help please contact me. I am desperate to find out anything on my Pillow grandfather. Shawn Notify Administrator about this message?
