Thanks for the info, I'm just not sure this is the same Gideon....The Gideon mentioned in the court records (1814) would be 8 years old if he is yours. That seems to young, he should be at least 20, wouldn't you think? The Williamson Co Tn sounds good, my Warrens were in that area ca. 1800-1810. There still seems some connection, if war time only, 4 of my Daniel Warrens son fought at Fort Donnelson....Again, tho, I dont think we have the same Gideons here, this one should be older. I think I've see4n somewhere that Stubblefield was a big name in the War of 1812, and I think my Daniel fought in this.
I am planning on sending off for the original records in hopes of finding more info. If you can think of anything else, I would love to hear it, perhaps the 1814 Gideon is you Gideons father????? Maybe Uncle?????? What do you think?
