Cindy: I am not familiar with a specific legal dispute between Pillow, Stubblefield, and Warren, but with all the land grants going on I would not be surprised if that was what it was about. There were numerous disputes about things such as water rights, etc. Pillow owned a mill, and would have depended on water for the mill. I am sorry I can't add any concrete answers to your question!
