William Campbell (age 50)appears in the 1860 census of Perry County, TN with what appears to be his own children: William 18, James M. 15, Milton and Nancy 12 (twins), Emily A. 5, Stephen E., 3. All were born in Tennessee. Also in his household were 60 year old Lucy PILLOW and her widowed sister Emily McMACKIN, daughters of William and Milly. Next door was William P. McMACKIN, son of Emily Pillow McMaCKIN.
Can anyone tell me what relationship may have existed that accounted for Lucy and Emily living with William CAMPBELL?
He appears to be the same William CAMPBELL who was in Hickman County in 1850 with wife Jane in the household of another William (age 74 NC) and Jane (age 65 NC) and children Wesley, 18, John 12, Kinchen 8, Monroe 6, Milton and Nancy, age 3.
