Dear Jesse,
I was really happy to recieve your email.Right now i am trying to find out exactly which village on the island of Flores my GreatGrandFather, John Pimentel, and his brother, Frank were from.Do you happen to know???there are about 13 villages on Flores. My mom and i plan to visit Flores sometime in the future.we went to Sao Jorge a few years ago.Do you know of any of our Pimentel relations who are still on Flores???
We lived on Delaware Street in Los Banos from 1957 to 1965.
Threr were Mcswains down the street from us, and i was always told that they were our relatives- but i couldn't figure out exactly how.Behind them lived the Daguerre's, who we were also related to, but from a different line of the family. All very confusing.i remember my grandfather, Joe Pimentel, talking about his cousin, Rollie. And at his funeral, I met his cousin Walter pimetnel, who looked so much like my Grandfather it gave me goosebumps.
I sure enjoyed getting your message, cousin.Feel free to email me.I live in Modesto, and i still have many relatives in Los Banos and Dos Palos.Close your eyes, throw a rock, if you hit a Gallichio, a Daguerre, a Silviera, A Pimentel, a Domoto, A Setaro, a Guerrero, a Parra, a Pickett, an Avila, or a Brazil, they're my relatives, whether they will admit it or not!!!!!
