Hello Doug,
thankyou for your reply. My Henry Pinder I know nothing of apart from his marraige to Elizabeth Betah.between them they had 3 children Thomas b 1826,who's residence was given as Woodbury Vale married a Lavinia Maynard in 1849 with the marriage taking place in Church of St Paul Islington,Middlesex.
Thoams and Lavinia went on two have 8 children.
A serach of the 1851 English census shows a Robert Pinder living in Essex St Islington ,with a wife Hannah.
The same census for Loughton records a Francis Benjamin Pinder, one of Thoams and Lavinia's children,as nurse child aged 6 months with John Higgins family.
I have Thomas leaving for Australia from London 1852,5th October on the Alipore without his wife.

Thomas had a borther Benjamin born 1830 and a brother William both of whom emmigrated to Australia, whcih is where this comes from.
This information was collated by my aunt who has recently passed away and I have taken up the baton.

The family was alawys under the impression that in some way we were connected to the Pinder family who are/where silversmiths in Sheffield. This is not substantiated by myself as I have found the Pinders to be somewhat elusive to say the least.
I don't know if this is going to be of any assitance to you,but let me know.
Cheers
Jeanne
