Hi Laurie,
I was aware of this Mary Pinder for a long time, but am unsure of the possibilty of a connection.
I am going to a w/end in Bendigo held by the local family history group, and am hoping to find out some further information there. It is on the 14th March.I meant to say in my last email that my William Thomas married a Harriet Bell and then later a Mary Purtell. I know where some Pinders are buried in Bendigo and some went to Gravel Hill School in Bendigo.
I have a photo of William James Pinder's grave ,he apparently had an epileptic fit and fell down the mine shaft of the Great Northern Mine on the 9th July 19? can't decifer.Father was William Thomas Pinder who also died 9th July 1923 aged 71 years.
I am in Albury and my Dad lives in Wodonga.
Not sure why the Pinders have been so elusive may there aren't that many descendants.I just wish they would surface so that I can put things together. My Dad Bill(William) son of Valentine and Mary Pinder is getting on not in the best of health, and it would be great for him to know more as well.
