Their were way to many Pines named James!!Hre are some of the James Pines that I have information about from Hempstead:

James Pine baptised 4 Jun 1608, Devonshire, England, m. Sep 1630, Edith Williams, c.1608; settled on Long Island, New York.
son of James & Edith: James Pine (1631-1686) m. Susan Armitage (1632 - Bet. 1 Jan 1684/85 - 12 Oct 1686; resided in Hempstead, NY.
son of James & Susan: Samuel Pine m. Rachel Ellison; resided in HEmpstead, N.Y.
also son of James & Susan: James Pine (c. 1656 - 1737) probably unmarried
son of Samuel Pine & Rachel Ellison: James Pine (1690 - 1783) who married Hannah Valentine; left Hempstead and settled in New Rochelle, Westchester County, NY
