Thank you, Susan, for your reply. We are, indeed, related although distantly. Our most recent common relative would be Benjamin Pine of New Jersey (3/10/1717 - 8/8/1775) two of whose children were Samuel and William. Samuel is in my line and William is in yours and would be William Allen Pine's grandfather. Have you corresponded with Judy Young or her brother Jeremy Pine, who are also directly related to William Allen Pine? They have provided me with a lot of good info. Their speculation is that Benjamin's parents were Jonathon and Phoebe and that Jonathon was the son of Jonathon and Abigail Pine. His parents were James Pyne and Susan Armitage. James came to America from Woodbury, Devon, England. His father was William Pyne. The gap that has not been substaniated is between Benjamin and Jonathon & Phoebe Pine. If you have any information in this regard please let me know.
