I would love information about the Pines from your cousin Gerald. The information I have on Gilbert Pine was a 1850 census in Clark co. Marshall township, Ill that lists Glbert Pine age 40 ,married to Sally with James, William, Henry, George, Margaret, Benjamin, John and Mary as their children. The census says that Gilbert and Sally and all the children were born in Ohio except John and Mary.
Some people say they also had a son Hugh Pine and daughter Rebecca but they were not on the census record that I have.
There was a Gilbert Pine in the 1840 census in Harrison, Champaign Co. Ohio and a Gilbert Pine in 1830 Adams Township, Champaign Co. Ohio and a Gilbert Pine in Choshocton Co. Ohio in 1830 who was born 1790-1800.
There was also a Gilbert Pine in Clark Co. Livingston Township in the 1850 census.
