Henry Hogard Pine - lost
Posted by: Darren Pine (ID *****4820) Date: March 07, 2010 at 15:29:26

I am seeking help and advice to find my greatx2 uncle, Henry Hogard Pine, b. 1839 Beaminster Dorset. The last I have on him is in the 1851 census, when he was living with his parents and siblings in Corscombe Dorset. By the next census in 1861, both parents had died, and the family had gone in all directions. I have successfully traced all the others, but cannot locate Henry in any records. I have checked BDM's, census records, etc. Apparently other members of the family were unaware of what had happened to him, as I have a copy of a letter written in 1908, which mentions that the whereabouts of other brothers was unknown. I am tending to think that he either emigrated, or joined the army or navy, but it is frustrating having this one branch on my tree incomplete.
If anyone has seen any reference to him, or can offer advice on where to look next, I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks,
Darren Pine
