Interested in the PINYOT variant, as it fits in Catalunya, Spain, where there are today PINEO families. I believe Poiteu, France (mentioned in your post) is the former name of Poitiers, a city east of La Rochelle. Perhaps someone reading this forum will know. I was not at all familiar with the Samuel Pinyot/Piniott story you found in the Nova Scotia archives. All the names you mentioned were new to me.
