Thank-you. I have David Sampson's death date as 1838, not 1859. I went to the Anglican cemetery, but it is in awful shape, with headstones knocked down all over the place, and couldn't find David S. there. Edwin Clay is my great-grandfather and the son you are thinking of was Henry Pineo Clay, who died of accidental poisoning. Family rumour has it that it wasn't so accidental.
