Rev. Addison Pinneo Foster reports that Jacques Pineaux lived at Lyons (sic), France as a boy per family tradition, but there is no proof existent to my knowledge. My understanding is that even if the Huguenots had a church at the time he was driven from France, then the Catholics or men doing the bidding of King Louis XIV, would've destroyed the church and any records. I do not pursue records prior to Jacques arriving in America as I think it an exercise in futility. I will e-mail you my short speech given on August 15th in Port Williams, NS, during the 16th Pineo Picnic reunion, which gives my sources for the arrival of Jacques Pineaux (James Pinneo) in America.
