Hello Mary,
I'm not quite sure what your problem is concerning Andrew Ross Pineo. He is the foremost authority on the web for the family of Pineo/Pinneo and he shares freely with hundreds of people both on and off the web.
As far as his writing the Pineo Family History: it takes time. Five (5) years is a relatively short time (it took hundreds of years for your family to create history and now one man is working on sortig it all out. It took me 10 years before I put out the "preliminary" edition of my Souther family history.
You have to keep in mind that he is an average man - he has a family to raise, a job to go to and other community obligations! He does not spend 24 hours per day working on the genealogy just so you will have it over night.
The problem with so many people is they just think you gather bits and pieces of information from wherever and don't worry about sources and making sure the information is accurate. Then they slap it together and put it out on the web or print it up in a book with mostly all incorrect information. That is not the way a true family historian works.
I feel sorry for you and that you have posted such a thing on this forum.
