I have notes handed down from my uncle saying the father of Jacques was Laurence Charles du Pinneau, b. 1657; m. Jeanne Lacouve. Unfortunately, my uncle passed away about 5 years ago and nobody knows where he came across this information.
However, since my uncle did fundamental research, my guess is he found some records in England, perhaps in the Huguenot Church in London or possibly in one of the Huguenot archives in North America (e.g., Charleston, SC).

There are widely circulated tales of baptisms among the Pinneau (de Pinneau) family after they arrived in England from France.

Does anyone have access to such historical archives? Reply to ccpineoiii@aol.com
