The Elizabeth Henson Talley wife of Prior Talley just doesn't figure. This info is taken from the Cherokee applications in 1906-08. Robert Talley named her as Elizabeth Henson. Talked to his cousins and changed it to Hensly. Henry Henson grandson of Prior said Prior's mother-in-law was Elizabeth Walkingstick. According to this she would have been at the least 131 years old when she died. He said his grandfather was Mathias Talley. Mathias was 5 when his mother was born. Charles Pinion said he would talk to his aunt Betsy Henson and get more info. The only thing we really know is that Prior Talleys wife was full to part Cherokee Indian. She was the only Indian that I can find connected to our family. Robert Talley finally said she was Elizabeth Hensly and was from Yancy Co., N.C. He said Prior Talley was from Sampson Co., N.C. This could be.
