Chuck, I can tell you about her but I have no proof of what I say. Sarah's name floats around as Banion or Pinion born 1750 who married Michael Garmon in ca 1773 based on the birth of first known child, Michael Jr. born ca 1774 at which time that could have been Anson Co.from which Mecklenburg Co. was cut or Rowan Co. NC from which Cabarrus Co. was cut. Sometimes land in Mecklenburg and Cabarrrus lapped over. I have not searched for a marriage bond for them in either of those counties. Their son John Garmon was born 1775 and died 1843 in Cabarrus Co. Wife Susannah Freeman whose is father Allen Freeman. She is mentioned in her father's will.

Because of the year of birth for Sarah, if she is a Pinion, that would place her in the family of Thomas died 1793 in Surry Co. NC wife Susannah (may be Tyre or Tiry) Sarah would then be a sister of Reuben Pinion who went to Anson Co. NC and served in the Revolutionary War. Reuben is the father of Reuben Wilson Pinion by his second wife Lydia Bond who he married in 1793 in Anson Co. NC. This I have proof of. I am a descendant from Reuben, the Patriot, by his first wife, name unknown. Reuben died 1843 in Stanley (formerly Montgomery) NC where he left a will naming his son Reuben W. Pinion.

There are many deeds recorded in Mecklenburg Co. NC for Michael Garmon, Grantee. I have not examined any of them nor the Grantor index for him. Much of his land was on Rocky River.

I don't know if any of this helps to solve your problem but this is about all that I know of Sarah. Do you know when and where she died?
