Margaret:
I found this posted today and wanted to respond to both you and Kenneth Magnus's messages (dated Jan 24, 2000) Re:JAMES W. PINION, Georgia abt 1855. He was my great grandfather.

He had a total of 13 children and his wifes name that I have was Mary Matilda Calton, b Jan 14, 1853 in Kings Praire, Barry Co. Mo. d. June 23 1930 in Morris, Ofuskee Co., Oklahoma.

I am having trouble proving who James Wesley's father is. I have a ANDREW JACKSON PINION b. 1832 (abt) in N.C. I found him with Nancy Pinion age 43; and Andrew was 22 on the 1850 Gilmer County, GA page 427 line 29 census today.

How does this person tie in with either of your families? I thought I knew most of the individuals along my line.

Peggy
