My father, John Pinkard has done some reaserch into our immeadiate family. My Great grand father Fredrick Pinkard was born in 1857 possibly in somerset or devon. He moved, with his wife Elizabeth Taplin born in 1859, to Newport in Gwent to become the first head teacher if the new Eveswell boarding school in the town. My grandfather Fredrick William Pinkard, was born whilst they lived in Newport. The family moved back to Devon/Somerset region in 1922 when my great grandfather retired form the school.

I and in particular my father would be interested in swapping what notes we have to see if their are any links.
