Leila Ashley was a niece of my g grandmother
Sarah Ashley. Leila Ashley Pinkard's children would be great nieces and nephews of Sarah Ashley, being 1/2 Ashley and 1/2 Pinkard. So while I am not related to James Acey Pinkard in my family lines, his children with Leila Ashley would be in my family lines through the Ashley family. My great grandmother Sarah Ashley married Jesse Teal.
They moved to Cleburne County, Alabama by
1890's and there were some Pinkard families in Cleburne County at that time.
My Teal family was in Heard County, old Campbell County, Georgia and some in Carroll County, GA between 1840-1880's and some of them moved to Randolph and Cleburne Counties in Alabama by 1890's.
I noticed some Teal families in Paulding County, Georgia where your Pinkard families also lived but did not find any Pinkard/Teal marriages so far.
Thanks for answering the query, as appreciate it. Do you know where Leila Ashley Pinkard is buried? I had thought she might be buried in Randolph County, Alabama but not sure.
