Hi Sheila,

I don't have much information on Anna Pinkard. She did marry William N. Copeland in about 1835. She was the youngest child of John Pinkard and May Waller. Her siblings were Baily (male), Elias, Lucinda, Robert, Benjamin, Billy, Charles, and Anna. Lucinda was my great-great-grandmother. She was born in 1805 in Franklin Co, VA and died in 1866 in Henry Co, VA. So I would assume that Anna was born after 1805, if the sibling order is correct. Their father, John Pinkard, was a captain. The sources that I have used for the Pinkard family are Hayden's book on Virginia geneology and there
is also some info on page 172 of "Pioneer Families of Franklin County Virginia" by Marshall Wingfield. I know that some of the Pinkard family went to Aurora, Wise County in Texas, with the Prunty family and the Reed family, after the Civil War. I think some of them are burried in the Deep Creek Cemetary. Sorry, I don't know any more about the Copeland family. Hopefully, some of this will give you new leads. Good luck, Shirley M.
