Stephen,
Eliza Pinkard was my grandmother on my dad's side. She married George Thomas Pearson in Franklin county. Her father was William Pinkard. From what I have read, the family came out of Virginia's Northern Neck area in the 1700's, and are traced back to one Captain John Pinkard, who was born in England in 1635. Hope this helps!
